Xiaomi Unveiled Its First Humanoid Robot-CyberOne

In 2021, Elon Musk’s Tesla announced the development of its first humanoid robot, revealing a vision for robots to work alongside humans. This has generated a lot of interest. Tesla aims to launch a prototype in September 2022.

But Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has stolen a march on Tesla with its first prototype humanoid robot, CyberOne, which looks like Boston Dynamics’ Atlas robot.

Xiaomi’s humanoid robot CyberOne took to the stage and presented flowers to the company’s CEO Lei Jun. After he took a selfie with CyberOne, the robot walked off the stage without incident.

CyberOne is 177 cm tall and weighs 52 kg. Its face is designed with a curved OLED panel that allows 3D visibility into its surroundings. CyberOne is equipped with two microphones for use. It can recognize 85 environmental sounds and 45 human emotions.

CyberOne’s body can respond to each level of motion in 0.5ms. The arm can generate up to 30 Nm of force, it can generate a minimum contact force of 1 Nm, and the leg can generate up to 300 Nm of force.
